Flexatube is a
MAJOR manufacturer of PREMIUM QUALITY steel exhaust flex tubing for Automotive
& Heavy Duty Truck applications. This product is also used for industrial
& mining ventilation ducting, agricultural applications, etc. It is
available in a wide variety of diameters (up to 10" ID), materials,
and thickness. If you need special cut lengths or diameters not shown
on the following pages, consult our factory - we can accommodate most
of your needs easily. Here at Flexatube, we pride ourselves in producing

Steel Flex Tubing Thickness Guidelines:
| • "LIGHTWEIGHT" - 0.10 - 0.12": Lighter
than conventional HD Truck Exhaust flex, yet when you inspect
& handle it, it seems only slightly lighter than normal. Excellent
exhaust performance in warm climates, and when used in various
industrial & agricultural applications. Available in Galvanized,
Nickel Plated, & 409 Stainless. |
| • "STANDARD WEIGHT" (Heavyweight in Stainless)
.018-.020": This is Flexatube's standard thickness &
is generally recognized as the industry standard flex weight.
Some suppliers though, will use lighter Flex their "standard".
Available in Galvanized, Aluminized, 400 & 300 Series Stainless. |
| • "HEAVYWEIGHT" - .023 - .025": Available
in Galvanized & Aluminized. Very tough flex tubing which offers
longer life & better sound attenuation |
| • "EXTRA HEAVYWEIGHT" - .028 - .030":
Flexatube offers this - the heaviest flex in the industry!
Super durable & extra noise control - this is serious flex
tubing!! Available in Galvanized. |
E-Z Use "Corrosion Rating" System
Standard: - Galvanized carries this rating,
moderate corrosion protection
Better - Aluminized Steel, longer service
life than Galvanized - a better corrosion barrier
Excellent - 400 Series Stainless, minimal corrosion -
some rust stain - retains flexibility
Best - 300 Series Non-Magnetic Stainless, will not corrode,
rust, or lose flexibility.

THE SCOOP ON 400 SERIES STAINLESS.....Constructed
of grade 409 ( a lower grade than 300 series), 409 is a true stainless
steel. It has SUPERIOR corrosion resistance vs. Galvanized or Aluminized
steel. 409 SS Flex is bright when new, & over time will stain.
Does not have a tendency to get heavy, scaly corrosion. It is magnetic,
contains 12-18% chromium, & has a slight carbon content (less
than 0.2%). Very Tolerant to high temperatures. A real RUST FIGHTER
that is less expensive than premium stainless.

THE SCOOP ON 300 SERIES STAINLESS.....Constructed
of grade 304 ( PREMIUM GRADE) It is our finest grade of flex tubing!
304 SS Flex is bright when new, and tends to remain bright. 304
Stainless is non-magnetic, contain 18-20% chromium, plus 8-10 1/2%
nickel, with not more than .08% carbon. EXCELLENT properties at
all operating temperatures. THE ULTIMATE RUST FIGHTER!
